A mirrorless (MILC) camera designed as a successor to the DMC-G3. Equipped with a 4/3" sensor with a resolution of 16.1 MP and sensitivity up to ISO 12,800. Both a 3" display and an electronic viewfinder can be used for framing, both have their own characteristics: the display is touch-sensitive and can be rotated, and the viewfinder is equipped with proximity sensor. Capabilities include 20 fps burst photos (with electronic shutter) and Full HD video recording. There is an HDMI output.

Very successful model.

Overall, the best features from previous models have been retained. Very convenient to use. The sensor is from the GH2, but improved and with a more powerful processor, resulting in performance almost at the level of the system's flagships, the E-M5 and GH3, but with a better price/quality ratio, IMHO.
quick and accurate AF, a swivel touchscreen with excellent resolution (920 thousand dots), excellent EVF, excellent ergonomics and controls. Everything is in place, convenient and intuitive. Feels great in hand. Has an electronic shutter, works well at high ISO, good dynamic range, excellent FullHD 50p video.
After the G2, I noticed a slight play in the G5 screen - a result of reduced dimensions and thinner screen hinge. A minor issue, but no other shortcomings were found.
Alex: use Panasonic DMC-G5 few months i recommend it should buy
