Panasonic DC-S9 body
![]() |
A tiny full frame from Panasonic, devoid of a mechanical shutter. We had to take this step due to the truly compact dimensions of the camera - 126x74x47 mm. Priority was given to the 5-axis matrix image stabilization system, which effectively handles up to 6.5 stops of shutter speed or exposure (when using stabilized optics). The mirrorless camera has a full-frame sensor with a resolution of 24.2 MP and advanced hybrid autofocus with focusing on eyes, faces and object recognition in the frame.
Video shooting on the Panasonic DC-S9 body is possible in a maximum resolution of 6K at 30 fps (10 bit 4:2:0) or in 4K at 30 fps (when reading data from the entire plane of the matrix). In crop mode, the videographer has access to 4K resolution at 60 fps (10 bit 4:2:2). Continuous recording is limited to 15 minutes to avoid overheating the image sensor. Notably, the camera features creative LUT filters and the ability to upload your own filters via the Lumix Lab smartphone app. The model is not equipped with a viewfinder; instead, the user is offered a 3-inch touch screen on a rotating hinge.

Compact Form Factor
This mirrorless camera is conceptually similar to the Sony ZV-E1 model—both are equipped with full-frame sensors and housed in compact bodies without an electronic viewfinder, which helps save space. There is no mechanical shutter here, as its role is solely performed by an electronic one. Meanwhile, the camera features 5-axis image stabilization, which will be useful for shooting photos and videos.
LUT Filters
The camera is based on a 24.2-megapixel sensor supporting hybrid phase autofocus. The device can recognize faces and eyes, focusing accurately on the desired subject. Video recording is in 6K resolution at 30 frames per second (10-bit 4:2:0), in 4K at 30 fps with full sensor coverage or with a crop in 4K at 60 fps (10-bit 4:2:2). The maximum duration of continuous recording is 15 minutes. A separate LUT button allows for quick application of creative filters, and new LUTs can be uploaded from a smartphone via the Lumix Lab app.
Attractive Appearance
The camera is equipped with two memory card slots, a 3-inch touchscreen on a swivel hinge, as well as modern wireless interfaces—Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC. The model is available in a sleek black finish and three additional versions with leather trim—blue, burgundy, and olive. This full-frame novelty from Panasonic truly stands out with its stylish appearance.
