TrueMove sensor with 8500 DPI sensitivity and 35G maximum acceleration. RGB backlight. Additional keys.

Despite a rather restrained design, we have a quite advanced gaming mouse, which can be a good choice for computer games of almost any genre and direction. The device has a height of 22 mm, making it ideal for gamers who use claw and fingertip grips. The model is made of high-strength materials in black and features 5 buttons designed for 60 million clicks. The lighting with effects "spices up" the classic design and makes the device more appealing to gamers.

The SteelSeries Rival 3 mouse operates using optical technology and connects to a PC or laptop via a flexible 1.8 m cable through a classic USB interface. The functions of additional buttons can be programmed at the user's discretion, and commands can be stored in internal memory, allowing the mouse to be used on different computers without reconfiguring settings. Among other features, the mouse boasts high maximum values of acceleration and cursor movement speed—35 G and 7.62 m/s, making it very "explosive" and maneuverable. For some games, this is a significant advantage; for others, a drawback, but by adjusting the sensor resolution in the range of 100-8500 dpi, the speed and sensitivity can be modified. This means the mouse is versatile and suitable for games of any genre.

Take it, especially at a discount! (But now I would pay more for the wireless version)
11 December 2021
I don't play online shooters, played with it in Dota 2 trade and single-player story stuff, didn't experience any problems, everything is great. I guess there's no need to mention its use for consuming media content.
My hand is medium-sized, can't say exactly about the grip, noticed that sometimes I hold it with a claw grip, sometimes with a palm grip (more often with a claw grip).
Ergonomic, it's really comfortable to hold.
The clicks sound pleasant, gives the feeling of holding a "thing".
Charming, without vulgarities.
2 buttons on the left (I can easily distinguish them by touch).
Adequate software, there's a fun feature with backlight flickering to system sounds (music and even high-intelligence conversations on Discord).
It's not easily dirtied (everything in moderation, better not hold it with beer and fish). Maybe I'm just neat, but its cleanliness always delights me.
Fairly lightweight, but not empty inside.
Stylish SteelSeries logo.
There are no obvious downsides to my model, but I would note that: Right after purchase, LCM started creaking, but later subsided, and after a year and a half, everything presses perfectly and makes no extraneous noises. The mouse wheel "coughs" during fast scrolling, the sound becomes somewhat uneven (but during slow scrolling, the wheel is almost silent).
Nikitause SteelSeries Rival 3 more than year
Very cool mouse. Worth its money. Definitely recommend buying.
11 July 2021
I bought it in DNS, before that I had a SteelSeries Rival 300 which served me for over 5 years. After searching for a mouse, I realized that this model was exactly what I was looking for. Some say that this model has issues like LMB creaks and sensor failure, but I haven't noticed any of that myself; everything works at a very high level. Using this mouse is a real pleasure.

For the price of 3250, this mouse is top; if you're considering buying it, go ahead. It's worth the money and will last you a couple of years.
+Size (fits very comfortably in hand)
+Precise button clicks
+Backlighting
+No rubber inserts for fingers
+Pure plastic
+Smaller gaps, thus less dirt gets in (compared to steelseries rival 300)
+Weight (a light hand barely feels it)
-They are not there, everything is fine.

Conclusion - take it. At least for a test. Then decide.
3 July 2021
The mouse is great! I recommend it to everyone who is looking for their ideal shape to at least hold it in their hands in the store. Over the past month I have gone through 4 mice, including the Razer Deathader, X7, Razer Viper Mini and this one. I handed over all the previous ones to the store before the expiration of 14 days, so they accepted them without problems. Finally, I got a lightweight, compact, non-slip mouse with an excellent shape, build and sensor for relatively little money. It’s too early to talk about quality and survivability, time will tell. But so far I'm sooooo happy!
Shape Assembly Soft-touch coating instead of the already normalized terrible matte plastic
Haven't noticed it yet. Is it just a pity for the money...) But I'm not disappointed

One of the best mice under $50

Over the past couple of years, we have tested quite a few gaming mice for a wide variety of tastes and budgets. And even after that, SteelSeries Rival 3 managed to impress. Perhaps this is one of the best game controllers in the category under $50. As in other mice from the Danish manufacturer, the proprietary TrueMove sensor is used here. In this particular case, TrueMove Core with an impressive 8500 DPI sensitivity and a maximum acceleration of 35G. Purely in numbers, this is one of the most serious sensors in the category under $50, and in fact it does not fail: for the entire time of the tests, we did not manage to cause the cursor to stall. It's not for nothing that SteelSeries boasts of "true tracking" and even says that the sensor's capabilities exceed the needs of most gamers.

Excellent ergonomics and balance

Now about ergonomics. A slight bulge on the back creates good support, and the length of the mouse is suitable for almost any type of grip. The mouse is not too heavy, but not too light, suitable for both left-handers and right-handers. However left-handers will be left without a couple of additional buttons on the left side. 77 grams of weight are optimally distributed across the body and axles, creating a sense of proper balance. He took it in his hand and as if she had always been lying there, the hand does not strain at all. Well, and most importantly, unlike previous versions of Rival, the third reincarnation does not have such slippery sides. And in general, the impression of ergonomics is more pleasant than that of the SteelSeries Rival 110.

Really useful RGB lighting

Other advantages of the SteelSeries Rival 3 include reinforced main switches with a resource of 60 million clicks, excellent build quality, and a wheel, as well as proprietary software with a bunch of settings and a couple of unique features. In particular, it allows you to make the RGB backlight of the mouse not just a decoration, but a useful tool. For example, blinking when receiving messages in Discord or signaling that the character in the game has little health and my friend is about to die. Unlike the same SteelSeries Rival 110, the LEDs are hidden along the body, under the wheel and under the company logo, so visual signals are visible even when the hand completely covers the mouse along with the logo. Definitely, three zones of independent lighting are better than one.
