You can choose between digital or analogue connection type. Built-in DSP audio processor. Fine tuning using proprietary drivers.

Studio microphone for serious audio production with the distinctive "signature" of the iconic Rode NT1 model. Let us remind you that its initial edition debuted back in 1991. The reviewed specimen, 5th Generation, was released in 2023. It connects to signal sources in two ways: via an XLR connector to a mixer or audio interface, directly to a PC through a USB type C port. The built-in DSP processor allows the use of various effects with the digital connection option — these can include a compressor, equalizer, noise gate, HPF, etc.

DSP effects are to be configured in the proprietary Rode Connect software or other compatible programs from Rode. They operate at a frequency of 48 kHz at 24 bits. Meanwhile, the Rode NT1 5th Generation converts at a sampling rate of up to 192 kHz and supports 32-bit floating point recording to capture the quietest and loudest sounds. The heart of the model is the HF6 condenser capsule with an exact 1" diameter. It features a cardioid polar pattern, cutting off extraneous sounds from the sides and rear. A pop filter will help minimize plosive sounds, and standard shock mount type "spider" will help reduce vibrations and hum from equipment.
