Compact Solution for Professional Sound
A new release for fall 2023 from Rode is the compact wireless system Rode Wireless Me, designed for high-quality audio capture in creating various types of content, including presentations, reporting, interviews, and even for amateur filmmaking.
The main components of the system — the transmitter and receiver — are characterized by their small size and weight (only 32 grams). The set includes two windshields, a fabric carrying pouch, and four detachable cables, ensuring compatibility with different devices, including smartphones, video cameras, photo cameras, and laptops.
Receiver with Additional Microphone
A unique feature of the Rode Wireless Me is the presence of built-in microphones in both the transmitter and receiver (Me Mic). This allows for sound recording directly next to the camera, which is especially useful for voice-overs or situations where the interviewer also plays the role of the operator. Users can choose between recording modes for combined or separate channels.
Additional Features and Benefits
The transmitter is equipped not only with a built-in microphone but also with a mini-Jack 3.5mm TRS input for connecting an external lapel microphone. The system provides high-quality 24-bit digital signal and supports wireless communication at a distance of up to 100 meters.
An important advantage is the autonomy of operation without recharging — up to 7 hours, as well as support for sensitivity adjustment. While the use of additional software for pairing is not required, Rode's proprietary software adds extra convenience in use.
