This drive is a high-quality server drive, the design and firmware of which is optimized for solving the problems of long-term storage of information in disk arrays with a large number of HDDs. The connection uses a SAS interface, so the Seagate Enterprise Capacity 3.5 HDD ST10000NM0096 is not suitable for use in conventional consumer, office or gaming PCs.

It can only be used in hot-swap SAS or SAS/SATA cages or connected to the controller with an SFF-8482 cable (not included). Can be used in RAID arrays of enterprise-level servers or in data centers. The helium-filled hermetic chamber, high-speed controller and impressive cache memory (256 MB) provide cost-effectiveness, high performance and reliability. The manufacturer claims increased resistance to vibration, which ensures stable performance when working in arrays that include a large number of drives.
