A versatile field berry from the Art series of lenses with an artistic twist, it covers the most sought-after focal length range of 24-105mm. Regardless of the zoom position, the maximum aperture of the model remains constant — f / 4 throughout the entire zoom area. On the open hole, the photographer has the right to get a spectacular blur of the background with round outlines of objects in the blur zone, which is facilitated by the 9-blade diaphragm structure.
The optical design of the Sigma 24-105mm F4 DG OS HSM A consists of 19 elements in 14 groups, some of them are traditionally special (aspherical, low dispersion, etc.) to suppress aberrations, field curvature and other distortions. Of the additional equipment on board the universal zoom, there is a smart autofocus drive HSM (Hyper-Sonic Motor) and an optical image stabilizer (except for the version of the lens for Sony DSLRs, where the stub is installed in-camera a priori). The lens is also available in variations for Nikon F, Canon EF and Sigma SA mounts.
