Does a full frame make a difference? Is it worth buying a full-frame camera?Do I need to spend money on an expensive full frame or is it better to buy a cropped camera?..

Decoding Sony Camera Series and Model LabelsIn this article, we will focus on decoding the Sony camera series.
The camera is great, but I have a couple of remarks regarding Sony. If you claim it works with Minolta A-mount lenses, it should do so without requiring additional firmware! Another remark is for our Russian businessmen, who buy cameras abroad. Don't skimp on the pre-sale preparation, which includes calibration. You're wasting the resources, time, and energy of your ordinary customers who have spent a significant amount of money on an unfinished product. I'd make you refund part of the purchase costs; then you would start working properly! After a series of adventures, I'm satisfied with the camera itself, but I would rate it 4 minus. I expected something better. I kindly ask the moderators to approve my review. In reality, there are no objective reviews for the camera. It's all templates or comments from those who are unhappy they can't afford it. People should have an unbiased understanding of the product. A great camera for those who enjoy photography for fun, for home, for family... In terms of specifications, it fully matches its description on the SONY.RU website. The most interesting aspect is that most of the cool features work only when shooting in jpeg format. Overall, I can note that noise reduction doesn't work when shooting in RAW, only in jpeg. Regarding iso, it can be set to auto iso within user-defined limits, which is really valuable. Plus, there are three custom presets on the mode dial with all the benefits. However, the fact that there are maximal extras in jpg makes some sense—you don't need to process files on a PC. It's sharp, quite fast, and delivers its full 24 Mp performance. The color depth is stunning and yet the colors are natural. The shots appear as if you are looking through a glass at a prospective image. Personally, I really liked the "transparent" mode, which seems to make the pictures look voluminous due to the atmospheric pseudotransparency. Practically noiseless shooting (in jpg) with decent quality can be achieved with iso up to 1600 for photos and videos up to 3200. The video turns out quite alright, though I can't say it reaches the level of a Sony Handycam. The video quality isn't at a camcorder level, but it's tolerable. After all, it's a camera, not a video camera, so what can you expect. The camera's flash is powerful, achieves the stated 12 meters. To shoot further and brighter, an external flash is needed. First drawback: I bought a camera for my daughter's wedding, and when I turned it on, an error popped up about a connected device that was incompatible with the camera. I didn't connect any devices. Nevertheless, when I attached an external flash, the warning disappeared, but as soon as I removed it, it reappeared. The store exchanged it for a new camera without any issues. Second drawback: I tested the second camera after recovering from the flu, so there were other problems. During testing, I discovered it had a severe front focus issue, with autofocus fine-tuned to -7 units. After two weeks, I had to take it to the service center. They adjusted the camera perfectly, but it turned out that most of the front focus issue was caused by the lens, which was sent to Moscow due to the lack of appropriate calibration equipment in St. Petersburg. I had to wait three weeks. When the camera was returned, I found out that it performed excellently, but the kit lens was unusable. It blurred images significantly, tarnishing Sony's reputation. However, when I attached my Sigma 17-70 macro 2.8, everything was just right. Third drawback: My Sigma 17-70 macro 2.8 lens didn't work with the camera when I bought it. It turned out that the lens needed to be reprogrammed for the ILCA 77 (68) family. The firmware update can only be done in Moscow, at the Sigma service center. They didn't do a great job there as the lens came back with dust under the filters, and I had to fix it myself. |
