The flagship camera from Sony's 6000 series of cropped mirrorless cameras. The model was released in 2023 and armed with a new APS-C format Exmor R image sensor with a resolution of 26 MP. The native sensitivity range of the sensor is from 100 to 102400 ISO for photo mode and up to 32000 ISO for video recording. By the way, the video sequence is recorded on the camera in the maximum frame format 4K (3840x2160 pixels) at 120 fps.
The recording is oversampled from a higher resolution of 6K. The model also has support for All-I, S-Cinetone profiles and S-Log3 and 4:2:2 10-bit recording formats. The Sony A6700 body is powered by a Bionz XR processor coupled with a separate AI-based computing unit that is responsible for image processing and autofocus (with object recognition in the frame and auto-framing when recording video).
In general, the camera's automatic focusing system consists of 750 phase detection points covering 93% of the frame area. The mirrorless camera is equipped with a built-in matrix stabilizer with a declared efficiency of up to 5 shutter or exposure steps, a touch screen on a swivel hinge, and an electronic viewfinder with a resolution of 2.36 million pixels. On a single battery charge, it is possible to shoot about 570 frames. In the body-configuration, the camera is supplied without a whale lens - you will have to take care of purchasing suitable optics yourself.

The Sony 6000 series of cameras has become a cult favorite among advanced mirrorless camera enthusiasts. However, it has not been updated since 2019. Only almost four years after the release of the A6600, a new model was introduced - the A6700.
Powerful equipment
The camera is equipped with an APS-C format Exmor R sensor with a resolution of 26 MP. The ISO range for photography is from 100 to 102400, and for video recording - up to 32000. In addition, the camera has a 5-axis matrix image stabilization system. For image processing and autofocus, the Bionz XR processor is used in combination with an artificial intelligence module.
Autofocus and video shooting
Autofocus in the Sony A6700 includes 759 points and works perfectly in tracking mode for objects in the frame. When shooting video, the camera automatically frames the image to keep the main subject in focus as it moves. The video is recorded with oversampling from 6K and supports a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels at 60 or even 120 fps. Additionally, the camera supports 4:2:2 and 10-bit video, as well as S-Cinetone and S-Log3 gamma profiles. The camera also has a microphone input and a headphone output for audio monitoring.
Ease of use
The Sony A6700 has a convenient design, fits comfortably in the hand and has advanced ergonomics. The camera has a touch screen on a rotating hinge, an electronic viewfinder with a resolution of 2.36 million pixels and one slot for fast UHS-II class SD cards. The battery life of the camera is also impressive - it can take about 570 shots on a single battery charge. This camera is great for both advanced amateur photographers and videographers, and is rated A+.
