The compact mirrorless camera from Sony features a 33-megapixel full-frame image sensor that borrows its design from the higher-end Sony A7 IV model. Data processing in this model is powered by the Bionz XR processor, enhanced by an artificial intelligence unit. As a result, the Sony a7C II body boasts advanced autofocus with face, eye, and object recognition capabilities.
Additionally, the powerful hardware enables recording 4K video at 30 fps with downsampling from 7K resolution, shooting 4K video at 60 fps in Super 35 mode (APS-C cropping), and capturing Full HD video at up to 120 fps. The former is now available in 10-bit color representation with 4:2:2 subsampling. Operators also have access to S-Log3 and S-Cinetone settings.
The model includes 5-axis in-body stabilization, compensating up to 7 stops of shutter speed or exposure, and features 759 hybrid autofocus points covering 94% of the frame. There are an OLED viewfinder and a touchscreen on a swivel hinge. Despite all this, this "little one" weighs only 540 g. In the body-only configuration, the camera comes as a "bare body," meaning without an interchangeable lens.

The Sony a7C II is a compact mirrorless camera with a rangefinder-style design, making it an ideal tool for advanced amateurs and semi-professionals.
Modern hardware
The second version of this model is equipped with a 33-megapixel BSI sensor, which was borrowed from the flagship Sony A7 IV camera. Image processing is performed by a powerful Bionz XR processor, supplemented by a neural block AI Processing Unit, which provides fast hybrid autofocus with object recognition in the frame. The mirrorless camera is capable of accurately focusing on eyes, faces, animals, birds, insects and vehicles.
Advanced video recording features
The camera includes a built-in matrix stabilization system with an efficiency of up to 7 stops of shutter speed or exposure. Video recording is performed in 4K at 30 fps (with oversampling from 7K), as well as in 4K at 60 fps with a crop factor of 1.5x and in Full HD at 120 fps. The operator is provided with 10-bit color representation, 4:2:2 subsampling, as well as proprietary S-Log3 and S-Cinetone profiles.
All necessary attributes
In order for the model to take the place of a true professional tool, it lacks a second slot for a memory card and an increased buffer. However, all other characteristics inherent in a serious camera are present in the mirrorless camera - this is an OLED viewfinder, and a touch screen on a swivel hinge, and a moisture-proof design. The camera is suitable for shooting in any genre of photo and video shooting, with the exception of perhaps reportage.
