Advanced 4K TV from Sony from the 2025 model portfolio. The key feature of the model is the Mini LED backlight system, made up of a large number of miniature LED lights behind the matrix plane. In combination with the Sony Cognitive XR processor, it provides precise local dimming of the screen image for accurate brightness control. Additionally, the processor uses AI algorithms to recognize broadcast scenes, optimizing images for maximum realism.

The TV is also IMAX Enhanced certified, with support for HLG, HDR10, and Dolby Vision HDR formats. From Sony's proprietary systems, the BRAVIA 5 K-55XR5 features Studio Calibrated Modes for streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Sony Picture. The TV's sound is delivered by a high-quality audio system with two full-range speakers and a pair of tweeters with a total power of 40W. In terms of gaming, the TV supports 4K / 120 Hz, VRR, and ALLM through HDMI v 2.1 ports. The operating system on board the model is the popular Google TV smart platform.
