Original design and audio system
The Sony KD-65A1 implements the "TV without stand" concept. Instead, a KickStand is used to support the panel from the back at a distance of about 30 cm from the screen. From the front, it seems that there is no stand at all.
4.1 format acoustics are made using Acoustic Surface technology. The sound comes from the entire surface of the display, passing through the organic light emitting diodes of the matrix. The resulting vibrations provide depth to the sound and excellent synchronization with the video. Not only all Sony KD-65A1 connectors, but also a subwoofer are placed in the kick-stand. When placing the TV on a horizontal surface, this solution guarantees excellent bass sound. But there is also a minus — with wall mounting, certain losses in sound quality from the subwoofer cannot be avoided, because it is actually sandwiched between the screen and the wall.
Excellent picture
A 65-inch OLED matrix, together with the new X1 Extreme processor, provides excellent image quality, including in dynamic scenes. This goes for beautiful dark tones and contrast. And the brightness of the visual sensations is even better than that of the top LG models.
Excellent detailing of the picture gives UHD resolution, and good elaboration of contours and fine details — support for HDR (when playing appropriate content).
