The 2025 debutant in Sony's lineup is a mid-range in-ear TWS-earbuds. This model features an active noise-cancellation system, which is an enhanced proprietary Dual Noise Sensor function that offers improved sound quality even in challenging environments such as a busy street or on the subway. The Sony WF-C710N headphones come with 5mm dynamic drivers operating in the standard frequency range while simulating spatial sound through 360 Reality Audio technology.
Noise cancellation is also implemented for the microphone, making this model suitable for users frequently on calls. By default, interaction is provided through touch controls, which, among other things, allow volume adjustment. There's also support for voice assistants like Apple Siri and Google Assistant. More additional settings are available in the proprietary mobile app. The built-in battery is expected to provide moderate autonomy: you can listen to music for up to 8.5 hours or talk for up to 4.5 hours without the case, and up to 30 hours with the case. It is noted that various color versions are available for sale, with the blue modification featuring a transparent casing — both for the case and the earbuds. I tried playing around with the equalizer settings (it’s convenient that the app offers both manual adjustment and ready-made sound “scenarios,” as well as the option to find suitable settings by taking a short “test” right in the app). No matter how many times I tried to adjust something, I always returned to the factory settings. Because I listen to a wide variety of music, and settings that suit one genre may be completely unsuitable for another song and ruin it. I’ve never turned the volume up past halfway. Listening to music or watching videos with them is a real pleasure. I let my wife listen to them after her cheap Xiaomi ones, she was very surprised and now wants a pair too =)
The touch controls have never let me down, everything works clearly and on the first try. Noise cancellation is something else entirely. I turn on songs at 50% volume, someone is talking right in front of me and I can’t hear them at all, I only see their lips moving. Outside, it also blocks out most sounds. Pleasantly impressed. It’s important to choose the right ear tips. The microphone is simply great, and its noise cancellation is superb. The person I’m talking to can’t hear a kettle boiling at all (and it makes quite a loud noise when you’re standing next to it making tea). Or a child running around and playing nearby. No one has ever complained that they can’t hear me well. They fit perfectly in the ears, nothing rubs or gets in the way, and you don’t feel their weight. My ears don’t get tired after an hour of listening (I haven’t used them for longer than that). They hold a charge for a very long time (I don’t use them every day, so I only charge them once a month). There is no Ukrainian voice assistant. Original Appearance and Good Battery Life
The Sony WF-C710N model falls into the mid-price category and is available in four color options. The most unusual is considered to be the blue version with a transparent case — it stands out noticeably against the more familiar black and white colors.
The headphones have basic water resistance according to the IPX4 standard and touch controls that allow you to adjust the volume without a smartphone. The built-in batteries provide up to 12 hours of continuous music playback, which exceeds most competitors. With the charging case, the battery life increases to 30 hours — a fairly decent indicator for its class.
Good Sound and Noise Cancellation
The Dual Noise Sensor active noise cancellation system effectively reduces ambient sounds and is complemented by a transparent mode for safe outdoor use. Sony's proprietary technology confidently handles background noise — whether it's conversations, transport, or urban hustle and bustle. Despite the compact 5-millimeter drivers, the DSEE digital enhancement technology ensures clear and balanced sound: deep bass, clear highs, and smooth mids.
Flexible equalizer settings and sound personalization functions are available through the proprietary app. Support is provided for the spatial 360 Reality Audio format, noise cancellation for microphones (two in each earbud), as well as popular options — Multipoint, auto-pause, and voice assistants. First impression — I liked the box and packaging; there was a short manual inside and other “paperwork.” The package also includes a branded USB A to USB C cable. Since I have a Sony phone, everything connected quickly and without any problems. I downloaded the manual; it is large and very detailed. There are lots of modes, features, and different settings. The sound — I really liked it: rich, versatile, and with good bass (a whole level above the wired ones).
