Perforated body weighing 57g

The SteelSeries Aerox 3 was the Danish brand's first foray into the lightweight, honeycomb-like mice that many shooter fans have come to love. The honed form is its main advantage. SteelSeries seems to have found the right balance, which is why many of the company's manipulators are made according to the same patterns: the slightly convex body fits comfortably in the palm of your hand, it is well balanced, and the symmetrical design is designed for both left and right hand control. Thanks to the use of perforated material, the weight was reduced to a very limited 57 grams. Aerox 3 is one of the lightest "shooting" models in the category under $100, along with HyperX Pulsefire Haste and Asus TUF Gaming M4 Air. But for some reason, the Danish manufacturer refused rubberized side pads. This is perhaps the only claim to the case.

Waterproof housing with backlight

As in other mice from the Danish manufacturer, the proprietary TrueMove sensor is used here. In this particular case, this is TrueMove Core with stepping from 200 to 8500 DPI and 35G sensitivity. It has excellent top speed and acceleration, low liftoff and excellent overall tracking quality. This sensor has proven itself well in other combat manipulators of the company, so SteelSeries decided not to fix something that works so well. Other advantages of Aerox 3 include durable mechanical switches with a resource of 60 million clicks, decent build quality, a detachable braided cable, Teflon gliders, built-in memory and an AquaBarrier waterproof coating that provides a degree of protection of IP54. There are also RGB elements inside the case, but for fans of shooters this is not necessarily a plus. Many of them just distract from the game. However, it can be turned off in the app.

Twin brother of SteelSeries Rival 3

Well, the main disadvantage of the Aerox 3 is a rather high price and the availability of the long-proven SteelSeries Rival 3 for sale. The technical characteristics of both models are almost identical, the cases are made like a blueprint, the additional features are the same, and both mice are configured using the same software. . At the same time, retailers ask almost a widow more for Aerox 3. Is a lightweight case with perforations worth such an overpayment? Personally, we are not sure. It is not for nothing that many gamers have recently scolded the products of the Danish company, preferring products of other brands to it.
