Gaming mouse with a unique design and minimal weight, which is also reflected in the name of the model - "Aie". The key feature of the device is the perforated surface of the case, which made it possible to significantly reduce the weight of the manipulator without affecting the characteristics of strength and reliability. The mass of the mouse is some 47 g. Incredibly light weight of the gadget is complemented by the use of a good optical sensor.
The PixArt 3335 sensor has a resolution of up to 16000 DPI, while the manufacturer provides a special switch to quickly switch the current resolution. The Asus TUF Gaming M4 Air gaming mouse provides ultra-precise tracking of user actions and the complete absence of any jerks or delays. The maximum acceleration is 40 G, and the speed at which the mouse maintains normal performance reaches 10 m/s.
The user has five buttons and one scroll wheel. Under the buttons are Omron switches with a resource of 20 million clicks. Thanks to the symmetrical body, the mouse can be adjusted for both right and left hands. The model uses a wired connection with a flexible Paracord cable. The perforated case itself boasts IPX6 water resistance and an antibacterial coating. This is an accurate and reliable manipulator in an interesting case.

Quality sensor PixArt 3335
TUF Gaming M4 Air is a new symmetrical mouse with a perforated body that cleverly develops the ideas laid down in the predecessors in the TUF series. If the old TUF M3 and TUF M5 were purely low-cost options built on the basis of entry-level PixaArt sensors, then the M4 Air has a more high-end PixArt 3335. This, for example, was used in the ASUS ROG Chakram esports model with a price tag of under $200. The optical sensor boasts a maximum resolution of 16000 DPI, 400 IPS scanning speed and 40G acceleration.
Perforated housing with water protection and antibacterial coating
However, it is not so much the sensor that is interesting here, but everything else. Firstly, this is the company's debut mouse with a fashionable perforated case. Thanks to the reduced amount of body plastic, it weighs only 47 grams (excluding USB cable) and belongs to the cohort of the lightest models on the market. And you need to get used to it — the mouse is cool, but it's definitely not for everyone. Fans of shooters will like the lightweight body, but fans of MOBA and RTS genres, who are used to massive devices with a bunch of additional buttons, are unlikely to be completely satisfied. Despite the leaky case, M4 Air is protected from moisture (IPX6 class). And this is really amazing. As it turned out, Asus came up with some kind of special protection for the printed circuit board. And the case itself was covered with a special antibacterial material.
Perfect balance and perfect glide
An idea with a lightweight case could easily be screwed up with an overly rigid cable that would slow it down like an anchor. The TUF Gaming M4 Air is equipped with a lightweight, flexible yet durable Paracord cable that rubs against the table to a minimum without hindering freedom of movement. Thanks to the cable, lightweight body and PTFE feet, the mouse glides across the mat like an Olympic skater. Otherwise, this is a classic mid-range gaming model with a pair of side buttons, built-in memory, Omron switches, a DPI switch, built-in memory, and support for proprietary Armory Crate software. The only thing missing is RGB lighting. Surely Asus saved it for more status models of the ROG series.
