The first System 55, 35 and 15 synth modules came out in the early 70s and tended to be extremely expensive. They were mainly all discrete transistor designs as op-amps at the more→time were very high cost. The discrete circuitry gave the modules a very distinctive sound and were used by artists like Keith Emerson, Stevie Wonder, Tangerine Dream and so many more, giving us some of the greatest records we’ve ever heard. The Doepfer A-143-3 Quad LFO is a four-fold modulation oscillator module designed to be a simple but effective modulation tool in your Eurorack system. Consisting of four simple LFO units the A-143-3 more→features three separate waveform outputs for each section as well as a control for the frequency range and a 3-way switch for selecting mid low or high frequency range options. The outputs provide you with triangle rectangle and rising sawtooth sources with the sawtooth frequency output being twice the frequency of the other two outputs. The switch allows you to span from roughly two cycles per minute at the lowest settings all the way up to moderate audio frequencies around 5kHz at its highest.
