Phoenix CPU
— family of desktop hybrid processors from AMD, introduced at the very dawn of 2024. The line models provide users with an optimal balance of CPU and GPU performance, allowing them to create systems without discrete graphics cards.
AMD Zen4 Phoenix processors (8 generations) have from 4 to 8 cores, while the younger representatives of the series have two types of computing cores: regular Zen 4 and small Zen 4c (energy-efficient cores with multi-threading support). Solutions based on the RDNA 3 architecture are used as integrated graphics - in certain configurations it is capable of providing performance levels similar to a conventional discrete video card GeForce GTX 1650. In systems based on Ryzen 8000G processors, it is recommended to use RAM of at least DDR5-6000 standard in dual-channel mode. AMD Zen4 Phoenix processors (8th generation) potentially defeat the purpose of assemblies equipped with inexpensive video cards.
