Monocrystalline processor with ultra-fast cache R7 8700F AMD Ai cores performing 16 million operations on an Asus Prime B650 motherboard and DDR-6000 memory easily handled Curva Optimizer Negative - 40 + with a thermal limit setting of Level 1 at 90 degrees, achieving phenomenal performance scores of up to 7450 points in CPU-Z. At this price, this processor is a killer on the market, outperforming the Core i7 12700KF and R7 7800X3D, and even catching up to the R7 7700 without AMD Ai cores. The 6-core Ryzen 5 9600X in CPU-Z with 6500 points doesn't even come close in terms of output, and its price isn't worth considering when there's the R7 8700F AMD Ai. A budget stone with Super TOP performance, 89W peak consumption, AMD AI cores providing additional Artificial Intelligence power, 16 cores, even outperforms the R7 7800X3D 200W stone, which is three times more expensive. For this price, the R7 8700F has no competition at all. Even the R7 7700 chiplet without AMD Ai doesn't come close. Before this, I had the constantly throttling garbage-cut version R5 7500F, and the difference is simply striking with the new BIOS. The R5 7500F 90w just can't compare even to the budget R5 8400F 75w (it even surpassed the R5 7600X3D). I specifically tested in games, and the FPS is higher on the budget monocrystal stone R5 8400F with only DDR5-6000 memory and above, while the 7000 series chiplet has no chance. So the affordable R7 8700F is the best choice for a modern PC, and for a start, the R5 8400F will be better than the overhyped R5 7500F by fake reviewers, with supposedly more cache. What's the use if it's slower than the 8000 series? Until I saw it myself, I also believed in the Cache positive 32MB versus 16MB, but it turned out to be fiction. Monocrystal is always better than a chiplet, and the memory controller is superior in a monocrystal. Currently, my DDR5-7600 memory on the R7 8700F provides a phenomenal boost due to the improved memory controller compared to the outdated 7000 series trial. |

Without iGPU, but with AI
AMD Ryzen 7 8700F Tray — the most affordable eight-core processor for the AM5 platform, priced at only $150 (about 6,270 UAH). Unlike the 8700G model, it lacks an integrated graphics core but retains the Ryzen AI neural block with a performance of 16 TOPS. This module is used in applications like image generation, such as Amuse. The L3 cache size is smaller than that of the R7-7700 on the same Zen 4 architecture, but the TDP is lower — 88 W.
Frequency Overdrive
Thanks to Precision Boost Overdrive technology, the processor frequency automatically varies from 4.1 to 5 GHz depending on the degree of task parallelism. Support for DDR5 RAM in "one-to-one" synchronous controller mode allows achieving speeds of up to 6400 MHz — better than most chips in the Ryzen 7000 series and comparable to the Ryzen 9000, which cost more and run hotter.
Version without cooler
The only drawback of the 8700F is the limited bandwidth of the PCI-Express 4.0 x8 bus for a discrete graphics card. This is quite sufficient for GeForce 5060 and 5060 Ti models but might become a bottleneck when working with more powerful GPUs, especially in video editing tasks. Nonetheless, the lower Ryzen 8500G model has only four PCIe lanes, so there’s little to complain about in comparison. Also, there's no significant reason to overpay for the boxed version with the Wraith Spire cooler.
