Each component manufacturer looks at the term "workstation" in its own way. Someone sees it as supercomputers for the most complex calculations in the history of mankind, for others it is a simple and reliable system board that will work for years in an office PC, a trading terminal or an administrative station. Gigabyte reasoned that in both cases we are talking about work, and they did not separate anything, so now we will talk about completely different products united by a common idea.

Compact mini-ITX models like GA-H310TN and C246M-WU4 are responsible for "simple" workstations in this series. The simple layout of the slots and the use of high-quality batteries makes them related to motherboards from the Gigabyte Ultra Durable line. The only difference is that the Workstation models provide specific features such as the option to connect an external power supply, Intel CNVi integration or dual BIOS.

When it comes to serious issues, A-class workstations like Gigabyte X299-WU8 come into play. This is a HEDT motherboard based on an Intel X299 chip with a powerful power subsystem, 8 DDR4 slots, half a dozen PCI-E 16x slots, dual BIOS, an advanced network controller and other hi-end accessories.

Also in the ranks of the Workstation series, you can find highly specialized boards like Gigabyte GA-E6010N. This is a mini-ITX baby, on which a dual-core processor and a graphics card are already soldered. Thanks to such equipment, low price and compact form factor, it belongs in a vending machine or multimedia centre.
