PNY is a rare brand that produces professional NVIDIA graphics cards. At first glance, the technical characteristics of the Quadro and GeForce models are practically the same, but the price tags are many times higher. This is due to several factors. Firstly, professional graphics cards use more expensive and high-quality components that are designed to work 24/7, so Quadro models tend to last longer. Secondly, their software and drivers are optimized to work to increase performance in professional programs, and not to increase FPS in games. However, this is a topic for a separate discussion, since there is no and never will be a consensus on the issue of "Quadro vs. GeForce" among the pros.

In early 2021, PNY updated its Quadro range, diluting well-known models like the Quadro P4000 with new Turing cores (RTX 4000/5000/6000). The younger RTX 4000 models, and 8 GB of GDDR6 video memory, occupy only one slot, consume 160 watts and are very similar in characteristics to the GeForce RTX 2070. The older Quadro P6000 will already require two slots in the motherboard memory and 295 watts of energy from the power supply. The cards are equipped with an auxiliary connector for additional power, and a cooling system with a radial fan is responsible for heat dissipation.

In addition to the usual format, PNY presented several unusual flagship Quadro models with passive cooling Quadro RTX 8000 Passive and Quadro RTX 6000 Passive. These models don't have their own fan, the entire printed circuit board is covered by a massive heatsink, and the airflow of the card rests on the shoulders of the coolers inside the case. According to the manufacturer's logic, passive cooling will have a positive effect on the card's longevity (that is, mechanical coolers will not break), and the reduced dimensions allow you to easily install several cards of this level into the case. Still, they do not need additional space for fans.
