4/3" sensor cameras
4/3"
— matrices used mainly in low-cost cameras with interchangeable lenses. Originally used in Four Thirds DSLRs, these cameras have now been superseded by mirrorless models (see "Camera Type") with Micro 4/3 mounts. The size of 4/3" matrices is noticeably smaller than in more advanced standards like APS-C, but they are also cheaper. Also, some top-class digital compacts are equipped with sensors of this format.
