This degree of protection allows you to transfer strong water jets from any direction without consequences. In fact, models with this level of moisture resistance are resistant to any type of liquid exposure, except for direct immersion under water and high-temperature washing. These headphones can be used even while swimming — provided that the head is constantly above the water. Also, they are usually able to endure being hit by a wave or other submersion for 1 to 2 seconds without consequences, but this is still not worth checking on purpose.

Note that theoretically, instead of the letter X in the marking according to the IP standard, there can be another number describing the resistance to dust and foreign objects. However, modern headphones with a moisture resistance of 6 most often have the “IPX6” marking — it means that the device has not been tested for dust resistance and has been certified only for moisture resistance.
