Dolby Atmos

— an object-oriented sound technology developed and implemented by Dolby Laboratories. In simple terms, Dolby Atmos provides the effect of full immersion in the sound scene when listening to music, watching movies or during gameplay. The sound is positioned in the virtual space as accurately as possible, and it is distributed both horizontally and in height and depth. For each sound source, information is pre-set about what position and distance it should be in relative to the listener, how to move, what additional effects to sound with, etc. The playback device itself with Dolby Atmos support independently decides how exactly the sound should be distributed across the available channels in order to achieve the desired impression on the listener.
