The role of behind-the-ear mounts, again, depends on the design of the headphones: in in-ear models and earbuds, it allows the “ears” to hold more securely, and in open ones, it makes it possible to do without a headband or headband, which in some situations is undesirable (for example, when wearing a complex hairstyle) .
