Drills with depth gauge
— a device that allows you to limit the depth of drilling. The most popular version of such a limiter is a rod in a special mount, installed parallel to the drill. Before starting work, this rod is shifted so that when the desired depth is reached, its end rests on the surface of the material, preventing the drill from moving further. However, some types of tools are also equipped with more specific types of limiters: for example, in special drills for drilling resistance welding, such a device resembles a clamp and allows you to adjust the depth with an accuracy of fractions of a millimetre.
