This made it possible to reduce the amount of distortion and, in the analogue format, to provide quality comparable to digital interfaces, as well as support for high-definition video. On the other hand, audio transmission via this interface is not carried out; it requires a separate connection. For connection, a cable with RCA connectors (“tulips”) is used.
