This interface uses an analogue format of operation and includes two connectors. in this case, only one video channel can be transmitted over one cable. Such a connection is widely used in Hi-Fi audio systems for transmitting sound between different components of the system — for example, between a receiver and a power amplifier — as well as outputting a signal to active acoustics and connecting recording devices. In the latter case, special REC outputs are used, which, however, are a modification of the usual linear interface and are also considered RCA.
