Vegetable peeler

— knives designed for peeling various fruits and vegetables, especially potatoes (colloquially often referred to as "potato peelers"). They differ in the original design of the blade: in its middle there is a longitudinal slot, the edges of which are the cutting edges. At the same time, the shape of these edges is chosen so that the non-cutting edge limits the depth of work, preventing the knife from removing too thick a layer. This is the main convenience of such tools compared to classic knives: it is almost impossible to remove a too thick layer of peel with such a knife, even if you try hard. The blade in such tools can be mounted on both a classic handle and more peculiar designs — for example, a Y-shaped device.
