A typical representative of the Durable series, like a black box in an airplane, is sealed in several layers of protection and is ready for any adversity. Typically, the armor layer includes a metal frame, a frame for additional rigidity, a shock-resistant plastic casing, and rubber bumpers on the sides that increase shock absorption when the drive is dropped.

This design gives them almost complete invulnerability, like comic book superheroes. A typical Durable can easily lie somewhere in the sands of the Sahara for a week, swim in sea water for an hour or two, plop down on the floor several times from a height of half a metre, and then shake it off, shake out the sand and return to work as if nothing had happened. The high class of armor of the Durable series is officially confirmed by the military industrial certificate MIL-STD-810G.

Given the specifics of the Durable series, its lineup is not very diverse and includes about half a dozen devices from 240 to 2000 GB that do not support the NVMe interface and cannot boast of supersonic speeds. Most often, their limit is 430 - 440 MB / s for linear read and write operations. A classic USB connector is used to connect and transfer information. An additional advantage of this series is support for game consoles from Sony and Microsoft, as well as integration with MacOS.
