In 2020, the Chinese giant Xiaomi launched a new series of smart sports watches under the flags of its sister brand Redmi. Surely, soon the model range of the series will be full of various fitness trackers and classic watches, but now it is limited only to inexpensive smartwatches with basic functionality.
It is worth noting that immediately after the presentation of the first Redmi Watch, the magicians from Xiaomi immediately presented the Mi Watch Lite, which they immediately called a clone of the first on the network. Formally, the watches are indeed identical (which is why we combined them into one series), but there are still small differences.
Both watches have an identical 1.4-inch TFT touch screen with a resolution of 320x320 pixels. Both models offer a choice of 120 interchangeable displays and support dozens of different training modes, including running, powerlifting, cycling, interval training, cardio, and more. Both have a classic array of sensors to measure heart rate, calories burned, or sleep quality. In both cases, the Xiao AI voice assistant is sewn into the firmware.
Watch cases are made of plastic, straps are quick-release, water protection according to the WR50 standard. In fact, the difference lies in the presence of an optional NFC (Mi Watch Lite has it, Redmi Watch does not) and battery life. Mi Watch Lite can work up to 9 days on a single battery charge, while Redmi Watch is limited to 7 days.
