Precision Bass

— body shape used in bass guitars. The Fender Precision Bass, which gave its name to this variant, was the world's first mass-produced solid-body bass. Initially, this type of body was created with an eye on the Stratocaster / Telecaster, which is why the standard "Precision Bass" has a classic "Fender" outline with lines straightened in some places, two asymmetric "horns" (cutouts) and an in-line arrangement of pegs. But the pickups are usually of the “humbucker” type (see “Pickup Diagram”). Note that the variety of "presence" is quite large, and some instruments of this type resemble the "original" very approximately.
