Glass-ceramic hob

— the material is used mainly in electric stoves of the "burners under glass" format. In such models, the glass-ceramic hob is a continuous flat under which the heating elements are located. This makes it easy to move the cookware from burner to burner and makes cleaning easier. The disadvantages of this material are the high price and fragility, such a surface must be protected from impacts.

For gas stoves with a glass-ceramic hob, all the advantages and disadvantages described are relevant, except the ease of moving pots — such a stove usually has classic burners protruding above the work surface and complemented by a grate. However, this material is rare in gas models.
