Shutdown timer

— device for tracking cooking time: the user sets the desired time, and at the end of it, the timer gives a signal. In some models, this device also turns off the oven, so that the risk of burning the dish is reduced to almost zero. The simplest mechanical timers with a rotary knob usually have an adjustment range from a couple of minutes to an hour (with an error of about 1 – 2 minutes due to the imperfection of the rotary knobs); in electronic timers, the range is wider and the accuracy is much higher. However, such devices are more expensive. The specific functionality of the timer should be specified separately in each case.
