Electric (Hi-Light)

— hobs equipped with at least one electric Hi-Light burner. Often this is the only type of burner in the design. However, there are models with different types of heaters.

The heating element itself in burners of this type has the form of corrugated metal tape. Such a tape heats up and cools down quite quickly, thanks to which Hi-Light burners react quickly to changes in power settings — noticeably faster than classic solid plate ones (although not as fast as induction ones).
