Citrine

— a variety of transparent quartz (see "Quartz"), in fact, differing from it only in colour — citrines are coloured in different shades of yellow. Belongs to precious stones of category 4 (the most inexpensive), often called semi-precious. Also note that imitation citrines are often found on the market, made from amethysts or smoky quartz by strong heating. Such a stone can be distinguished by a relatively dark colour with a reddish tint, which does not change when changing the angle of view (in natural citrines, this phenomenon, although weak, is expressed).
