Cubic zirconia

— fianite is usually called artificial stones based on zirconium dioxide. This material has high refractive indices, thanks to which it is possible to create quite reliable imitations of diamonds and other precious stones from it. Of course, with a more or less close look, the difference will be noticeable — however, cubic zirconias are much cheaper. And the quality of such inserts can be quite high — to the extent that only an experienced jeweler can distinguish an imitation from the original. Most often, cubic zirconias are colourless, but their shade can be any — up to deep black.
