Ruby rings

Ruby

— one of the most expensive modern stones; it is a "neighbor" to diamond and emerald in terms of price category, and sapphire is its "brother" also in chemical composition (see more in "Sapphire").

By definition, a ruby should have a purplish-red hue. Such stones can be either naturally mined or artificially synthesized; at a lower cost, synthetic ruby usually matches the real one in both physical properties and appearance. There are rings adorned with a whole scattering of rubies while having a relatively low price.
