Quartz rings
Quartz
— in this case, it usually refers to varieties of quartz that are not related to onyxes, agates, citrines and other popular varieties with their own names. However, sometimes smoky quartz, also known as rauchtopaz, is sometimes included in this category (see the relevant paragraph). "Classic" quartz is usually colourless, but there are other shades, such as blues and greens. A separate variety is mystic quartz — a material of artificial origin, shimmering with all the colours of the rainbow.By itself, quartz is a semi-precious stone and is relatively inexpensive. However, it is often used in rather expensive jewelry — as an addition to other, more valuable inserts, or as the only insert of the original form, where the work is valued much more than the material.
