Swarovski rings
Swarovski crystals
— in this case, crystals usually refer to rhinestones — imitation gemstones made from heavy glass or other similar materials. The resemblance of rhinestones to more expensive stones (up to diamonds) is achieved because they have high dispersion rates and beautifully refract light, creating rainbow reflections. Often, such crystals are essentially cubic zirconia (see the relevant section) and are categorized separately solely because they are released under the Swarovski brand. This company is, among other things, the most well-known producer of rhinestones, and its products are often considered the highest quality (for which there are many reasons).Due to their low cost, Swarovski crystals are popular in inexpensive jewelry, but it doesn't stop there — such inserts are also found in mid-range jewelry.
