Medium power single speed impact drill for a wide range of drilling applications. Equipped with a proprietary single-sleeve keyless chuck and an additional thrust side handle that greatly improves tool control during vigorous drilling. The manufacturer is positioned as a product of the middle price category, intended for active domestic and professional use. It can become a reliable assistant of an experienced craftsman and DIY enthusiast who independently performs most of the home assembly and dismantling, construction and finishing work.

The Makita HP1641K drill is equipped with a reliable 680W air-cooled commutator motor. To transform the fast rotation of its rotor into the rotation of the chuck, a durable single-speed gearbox based on a gear train consisting of steel helical gears is used. This drill can drill simple structural and stainless steels (up to 13 mm), non-ferrous metals and alloys based on them, ceramics, soft mineral materials, polymers and any kind of wood (up to 30 mm). Impact mode allows you to quickly make small holes in concrete.

good model, liked it.
29 October 2017
During the construction of the house, I hired workers and almost all the main and large-scale work was carried out by a small but fully qualified team. Unfortunately, when it came to finishing work, I had financial problems, so much of the finishing was not done. My sons and I had to master the basics of the craftsmanship of finishers and finish the house on our own. We made 90 percent of the total volume on our own, and this would not have been possible without a normal high-quality tool. I know how important this can be, so I always try not to skimp on these things. At that time, despite the lack of funds, I bought a rotary hammer, a drill and a small cordless screwdriver from Makit. Expensive, yes, but two years have passed and all the instruments are alive and working great. I hope my sons and I will use them for more than one year.
Reliable, simple and accurate hand electric drill. In two years, she has drilled almost any material from soft wood and plastics to a centimeter thickness of simple structural steel. Never overheated, never failed. It has a decent power of 60 watts, so you need to hold it firmly with both hands. For this, there are two comfortable rubberized handles. Equipped with a keyless chuck with a maximum tool diameter of 13mm. I even doubted whether it was worth taking one or giving preference to an ordinary turnkey cartridge, but I took a risk and not in vain. Holds the cartridge well, if you clamp it normally, then retention is guaranteed. Impact mode is good. This is far from a rotary hammer, but brickwork and lightweight concrete goes through very cheerfully.
The most obvious minus is the price, but firstly, the tool is excellent, and secondly, you need to understand that if you take it from an authorized dealer and register, you get THREE years of warranty and normal service.
