Versatile and powerful mobile screwdriver/drill

It is good when you have a powerful and reliable power tool capable of solving several tasks at once. But, in our time of general simplification, cheapening and planned obsolescence, even a professional tool is no longer the same as it was 12-15 years ago. There are exceptions, but the price for them bites. But if you earn money using this tool, then why not spend it once, so that you can earn faster and more efficiently over the years. In general, I think that saving on professional tools is the last thing.
A small and relatively compact tool that can perform three fairly popular and frequently used operations at once: tightening various fasteners, impact drilling and most commonly drilling. In general, I most often work alone or as part of a small team in private backyards. The work is very different, from the replacement / installation of the roof and fences, to finishing work in the house. And this versatility of the tool helps a lot. It can drill almost everything - steel, stone and concrete (in shock mode), not to mention plastic and wood. The nitrided steel keyless chuck with carbide inserts is limited to 13mm, but this is sufficient in 99% of cases. For its size, it has an unusually powerful motor, which is based on modern brushless technology. His torque is simply heroic, so when working with fasteners and soft materials, it is imperative to limit it, since he has an appropriate eleven-position clutch. In addition, it is worth noting the very capacious lithium-ion batteries that this screwdriver is equipped with, convenient lighting and chic equipment.
The weight of 2.1 kg of grams during long-term work with one hand is tiring. And not many people are ready to pay $ 550 for a power tool, even if it is such a versatile one. However, among other things, when registering on the website of the official dealer, I received an extended three-year warranty.

I’ve been working with them for 3 months, all personally.. But like any technology, it probably has its pros and cons. They may be insignificant, but they are there. .In general, everything is good so far. This model is one of the most performant in the line of DeWALT impact drivers. Its truly heroic torque is 95 Nm, so it is comfortable to work with materials of almost any density. Of course, when driving self-tapping screws into wood or drywall, the torque must be limited using the coupling on the body, in order to avoid damage to the material. Also, unlike models of this class, there are not two, but three positions of the rotation speed of the cartridge at 450, 1300 and 2000 rpm. This will allow you to more accurately adjust the speed for a specific type of work. In a 10 cm thick pine board, a 10 mm drill makes a hole in 1.5 seconds, and a 22 mm flute drill in 2.8 seconds is really a huge speed for a screwdriver.

Three position backlight

The instrument has an interesting illumination of the workplace. It has three brightness levels: 2.6 lumens, 18 and 60 lumens. The backlight shines at an angle of 30 degrees, so the beam clearly hits the drilling site.
