Thanks to the presence of three speeds that differ in chuck rotation speed (1000/2800/3250 rpm) and tightening force, this tool can be used to perform various operations: from carefully tightening small screws to tightening large and long screws.
The DeWALT DCF850N screwdriver is equipped with a brushless motor with an electronic brake and overload protection. The chuck (in the form of a hexagonal hole for a bit) is surrounded by a ring illumination of three LEDs, providing good illumination of the working area. In this configuration, the tool is supplied without a battery and charger. The screwdriver requires a DeWALT 18V XR battery to power it.

Impact Driver for All Fastenings: From Small to Large
The main feature of the DCF850N impact driver is its versatility, allowing it to work effectively with fastenings of various sizes. The tool is equipped with three speed settings. The first speed (1000 RPM) is a "gentle" mode with "smart impact," suitable for small screws and fastenings, helping to avoid damaging their heads. In this mode, the chuck initially rotates without engaging the impact mechanism, then the electronics determine the optimal moment to activate the impact and gently bring the fastening to a stop. The second and third speeds (2800 and 3250 RPM) are designed for working with medium and large screws used in wooden constructions, as well as for tightening bolts and nuts. Thanks to the tangential impact mechanism and high torque of 206 Nm, the tool confidently handles even large screws, including 150-mm lag bolts, and effortlessly loosens "stubborn" bolts and nuts.
Powerful Tool in a Compact Body
Despite its high power, designed for complex tasks, the DeWALT DCF850N impact driver maintains a compact size. Its head part is only 100 mm long, which is 35 mm shorter than previous generation DeWALT impact drivers with similar characteristics. This compactness is achieved through the dense arrangement of the gearbox and brushless motor. The powerful motor with an output power of 475 W is controlled by electronic systems that protect it from overload and overheating, and instantly stop the chuck when the trigger is released. The chuck is designed in a hex socket format for bits and equipped with a retractable ring for quick changes and secure tool holding. For convenience, there is a built-in work area light with three bright LEDs located around the chuck.
The tool is powered by DeWALT XR system batteries with a working voltage of 18V. The driver is compatible with batteries of different capacities, from 1.5 Ah to 5 Ah.
