This model is equipped with a metal planetary gear and a brushless motor. This type of electric drive is characterized by high energy efficiency, increased reliability and resistance to overloads, which can be fundamentally important for high-intensity work. There is a system of electronic regulation of the rotation speed of the cartridge, which depends on the depth of pressing the button of the trigger switch. The two-speed gearbox of the DeWALT DCD701N drill/driver provides two operating modes for different types of work. The first one...(0-425 rpm) is used for driving/unscrewing screws, screws, self-tapping screws and other threaded fasteners. In this mode, the tool is able to develop an impressive maximum force of up to 57 Nm, which can be limited by a 15-speed clutch. The second speed (0-1500 rpm) is necessary for vigorous drilling of metals, all types of wood, polymers and polymer composites. An electric engine brake, a convenient reverse switch and LED illumination of the work area are provided. The tool comes without batteries, charger and case. |

Great Shurik, a beast at work. I also have a Metabo PowerMaxx 10.8V with a removable chuck. It's a decent drill, but less powerful, and the DeWalt, of course, is a super thing... I spent a lot of time choosing based on reviews and testimonials. I settled on this small yet very powerful screwdriver. In drilling mode, it's simply impossible to hold the chuck by hand. It comes in a case that can be connected with other DeWalt cases. Plus, it comes with a whole 3-year warranty. I'm very satisfied with the purchase. I recommend it.
