One of the popular models of professional compact angle cordless drills. The unusual layout of the tool is optimized for working in hard-to-reach places. It is a full-fledged hand-held power tool of a professional class, which is focused on the serial execution of assembly, assembly and dismantling, finishing and construction work of low and medium intensity. The DeWALT DCD740N cordless drill is equipped with a durable air-cooled commutator motor and a reliable two-speed gearbox based on heat-treated steel gears.

At the first speed (up to 650 rpm), the tool develops a torque of up to 33 Nm and can drill steel (holes up to 10 mm) and other hard materials. At the second speed (up to 2000 rpm), it confidently makes holes in non-ferrous metals and their alloys, any polymeric materials and wood of various species (up to 28 mm). There is a convenient reverse, an engine rotor run-out brake and LED illumination of the working area. The tool is designed to operate with Dewalt DCB180/181 18V lithium-ion batteries, but batteries, charger and case are not included.
