The Intel Core Ultra 5 mid-range processor lineup (codenamed Arrow Lake) is a major refresh of Intel's portfolio, featuring a number of improvements over previous models. According to the manufacturer, the emergence of the Intel "Core Ultra" brand is due to the desire to proclaim a new faith in the development of Intel processors. Core Ultra processors are based on Intel's latest architecture, offering not only more cores, but also improved integration of AI functions, which increases their performance in machine learning, data processing, and other highly complex computing tasks.

The Intel Core Ultra 5 Arrow Lake family includes several processors with the same core layout: 6 high-performance Lion Cove P-cores and 8 energy-efficient Skymont E-cores. P-cores are capable of overclocking up to 5.2 GHz, and E-cores operate at frequencies from 3.6 to 4.6 GHz. This series does not support Hyper-Threading technology, which is compensated by an increased total number of cores.

To speed up AI-related tasks, the processors are equipped with separate NPU units with a claimed performance of 13 TOPS. These units are designed to improve the efficiency of working with AI algorithms, including image processing, text generation, and other resource-intensive operations. The Core Ultra 5 series also offers advanced integrated Intel Arc graphics, support for DDR5-6400 RAM, and a PCIe 5.0 interface for maximum data transfer speeds. To work with these processors, you need a motherboard with an LGA 1851 socket, which was introduced by Intel in 2024 as a replacement for LGA 1700.
