Installed it in the motherboard slot for the system, and left space in the case for file storage. Very convenient - doesn't take up extra space in the case (I only have two slots).
Small and nimble

System rim for modern PCs

It serves as the system drive on the GA-Z170X-Gaming, with a slot directly on the board. It doesn't take up space in the case bays, which are always lacking, and it operates quickly. What more do you need from a system drive?
Fast and compact. And the price is more reasonable than PCIe models.
It's scary to take it out of the box - it's so thin.

A system rim on the motherboard is convenient!

I agree with the previous commenter, and I'll add one more nice point: Micro-sized form factor PCs, like Intel NUC, are becoming increasingly popular. However, they have one unpleasant characteristic: They only have one slot for a 2.5" drive, which forces a choice between installing a large HDD for enough storage or an SSD for the system (large SSDs are still unreasonably expensive). With this disk, all issues are resolved automatically: A small and affordable SSD is installed on the board (such boards already exist), and the slot can be used for file storage on an HDD.
