I decided to spend a lot of money on a smartphone. Most often, I buy flagship models and do it every two to three years. That way, I always have a phone that I'm not ashamed to take out in public. The iPhone is no longer trendy, the Samsung S series has become too common, but this smart from LG looks fresh and has good specs. It doesn't quite look like what LG used to do before. The glass-metallic body looks modern and cool. Particularly striking is the fact that the screen occupies around 80 percent of the front panel area, meaning almost all available space. And this screen is not just any screen; it's a high-resolution IPS display (2880 by 1440 pixels), with individual pixels difficult to discern even with a magnifying glass. It's no joke that one pixel is less than 0.05mm long, making it more than one and a half times thinner than a hair! The screen has a huge brightness reserve and looks almost as good in the sun as it does in the shade. The heart of the smartphone is a high-performance 8-core processor, complemented by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. The system runs on Android 7 with custom features, making all applications and the latest games run very smoothly. Everything works extremely fast and it’s worth noting that the body hardly heats up. Additionally, the smartphone sounds amazing in quality wired headphones and supports high-quality audio transmission over wireless ones. The three cameras (two main and one front) are excellent and allow shooting even in twilight conditions. And, as the cherry on top, it is completely waterproof and dustproof. You can't just get it wet; it can sit underwater and nothing bad will happen. Price. However, flagship models always have a high price, and that is expected. Fingerprints are easily visible on the glass body. Yes, with an oleophobic coating it's not a huge issue, but you still have to wipe it down much more often than you'd like. |
Great phone. Handles dust and water, you can dive with confidence. Cameras are decent, battery is decent. Only a woodpecker couldn't find the case. Bright screen. The Wi-Fi module works great, GPS, etc. just as well. Still relevant now. The back glass gets scratched in the case if sand gets in it. use LG G6 Dual 32GB month or more i recommend it should buy |
For that kind of money and with those characteristics, take it. Screen, camera, dimensions, reliable operation. Battery, and it would be better if it had "stock Android" so everyone could download the apps they need themselves. There's no function for scheduled on/off. I've had it for about a month, and it's already restarted on its own, I hope it's just a coincidence. use LG G6 Dual 32GB less than month |
Last year's flagship
In 2018, LG G6 looks like an extremely interesting option in terms of price and quality. A year ago, it was a top smartphone that could do almost everything. Today, the G6, although it lost the lead due to the Galaxy S8, still looks profitable. It is powerful, stylish and knows a couple of tricks, and its price tag has practically gone down to the middle price segment.
Bright and borderless display
The front panel design of the LG G6 is built around a large 5.7-inch IPS display (2880 x 1440 pixels), which occupies almost the entire front panel of the smartphone. And this is not an exaggeration, the frames around the LG G6 screen are really tiny, which sometimes makes it seem that you are holding just a big screen in your hand. Screen quality is top notch. A nice feature of the screen is that it supports HDR 10 technology, which makes the picture more saturated. However this thing works in a few applications like Netflix.
Still a flagship hardware
The filling of the LG G6 is controlled by the most powerful processor of the past generation — the 8-core Snapdragon 821 processor. Today it no longer sets records in synthetic tests, but in reality its power will be enough for tasks of any complexity for at least a couple more years. A separate plus is that the processor is cold, so the smartphone practically does not heat up even under heavy load.
Aces up your sleeve
The G6 still has plenty of aces up its sleeve that next-gen smartphones don't have. For example, damage protection according to the MIL-STD 810G standard, which is why the G6 is allowed for guys in the US Department of Defense and NATO. In addition, there is water and dust protection (class IP68), which has become the standard, thanks to which the G6 can be lowered to a depth of one and a half metres for 30 minutes. Another interesting feature of the G6 is the presence of a Hi-Fi Quad audio converter, which allows the smartphone to produce sound at the level of expensive Hi-Fi players. There's also Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging and a USB-C port.
