MSI B850 GAMING PLUS WIFI
![]() |
Full-size ATX motherboard built on the AMD B850 chipset, designed for creating high-performance systems with Ryzen series 7000, 8000, and 9000 processors. Part of the Gaming Plus lineup, which typically combines a reliable component base, modern interfaces, and emphasis on stable operation in gaming and work scenarios. It is positioned by the manufacturer as a balanced solution for gamers and professionals who value stability, modern interfaces, and upgrade potential without overpaying for excessive features.
The board is equipped with a 12+2+1 phase power supply subsystem with two 8-pin EPS connectors and an additional 8-pin PCIe PWR, providing stable operation even under heavy loads. The Frozr Design cooling system includes massive heatsinks on the VRM and chipset, thermal pads with 7 W/m·K thermal conductivity, and additional heatsinks for M.2 drives without their own cooling system.
DDR5 memory usage with a maximum frequency of 8200 MHz and support for AMD EXPO allows achieving high performance in modern games or when performing resource-intensive tasks such as high-resolution video rendering. The set of connectivity slots includes one reinforced PCIe 5.0 for a graphics card, one PCIe 4.0 x4, and two PCIe 3.0 x1. For data storage, there are three M.2 slots (one Gen 5 + two Gen 4), as well as four SATA 6 Gb/s ports. Network capabilities are presented by an advanced controller with a bandwidth of 5 Gb/s and an integrated Wi-Fi 7 module. The audio subsystem is built on the Realtek ALC897 codec supporting 7.1-channel sound.

AI Motherboard
The MSI B850 GAMING PLUS WIFI motherboard supports next-generation technologies with artificial intelligence algorithms actively implemented in 2025. The model is based on the B850 chipset with an integrated neural processor, which intelligently boosts performance and optimizes interaction between the key components of the system. The AI mechanisms operate across all areas — network, audio, processor, RAM, and BIOS — allowing for safe overclocking and achieving maximum efficiency in video rendering, gaming, and communication without the need for special knowledge.
Reliable Components
The board is designed for assembling a high-performance PC capable of handling resource-intensive tasks and modern games. The 6-layer PCB structure promotes even heat distribution, while the 12+2+1 power scheme with 8+8 pin connectors for the processor and an additional 8 pin for the video card allows the use of top-tier components. For stable operation, heatsinks with thermal pads are provided on all power nodes, including the M.2 PCIe 5.0 slot. Additionally, TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressors) protection modules and a current monitoring system are implemented, preventing overloads and voltage spikes.
Unlimited Traffic
Despite its mid-range positioning, the motherboard is equipped with advanced networking solutions. The built-in Wi-Fi 7 with support for three bands and channel aggregation provides data transfer speeds of up to 5.8 Gbps, reduces noise and latency during online gaming, accelerates data exchange between devices, and eliminates the need for cables. For office and professional tasks, a 5 Gbps LAN port is available, guaranteeing fast transfer of large files over the local network. The Bluetooth 5.4 module allows for connecting gaming peripherals, headsets, and sound systems without delays or loss of quality. The only drawback could be considered the lack of an HDMI output, which may complicate monitor connection when using an integrated graphics core.
