Nikon Coolpix P510
![]() | Outdated Product This camera stands out primarily for two details: an impressive lens with an optical zoom of 42x and a built-in stabilization system, as well as GPS modules that allow you to automatically geotag photos. It is also worth noting a good 3 "rotating display; there is also an electronic viewfinder. The rest of its characteristics are quite traditional for "pseudo-mirrors": for example, the matrix has a resolution of 16 megapixels, photography is only in JPEG, and the maximum video resolution is 1080p. |

Thank God, I didn't get swayed by the "DSLR" promoters... otherwise, I'd have to buy a car just to carry around the lenses, since practically all photos are taken with some zoom—why move closer when you can just press the zoom lever? CONCLUSION—HAPPY, if before purchasing I thought I'd play around with it and then maybe get a "DSLR," now I understand—WHY BOTHER?! For those who are not planning to send photos to exhibitions or hang a 3x4m photo on the facade of the house—don't listen to those chatterboxes—sales agents of "DSLRs," which have flooded all the shelves, often without lenses due to their oversupply, and mainly of enormous size. Before purchasing, I hesitated—there was a lot of criticism towards the 510, and praise for the "DSLRs." After buying, I calmed down—price one, size two, ZOOM three, macro photography, a sea of settings—four. And if you can't photograph—even for 100k—it won't make a difference. Even in "automatic mode"—the manual is 100 pages of small print—and yet I am very satisfied. The focus is fast, video is bright and clear, especially liked the stabilization—everything jumps on the max zoom, but the shot is clear. Check out the sample photos on ODNOCLASSNIKI on my page—LEONID MOCHALOV, 58, TAMBOV. Again, I've just started, there's a sea of. Very interesting settings, for example, it takes several shots, quickly chooses the best one, processes it, all without my intervention, etc., and so on. 1. Very confusing battery drain icon - without segments, you don't know when it will turn off - SHOCKING. 2. Video focusing in VIDEO mode is very slow, though, as I found out, "DSLRs" have the same issue, but I quickly figured out how to trick it - first zoom, then record, or zoom in small portions. After all, it's not a video camera, although the VIDEO quality is excellent - much higher than my "Sony" video camera with 0.8MPs. |
i'm extremely happy with this purchase, everything is satisfactory, and the smaller matrix size is compensated by additional features and fast processing. 1. Design. I got it in red - it's like "under glass," just perfect to show off to friends. :) 2. Zoom (but you need to catch the right moment - the camera won't hold steady for you). 3. Functionality. "Pocket photo studio"!!! 4. Weight. Half a kilo - not too shaky in hand!! 5. Video cut + photo can be done with video on pause - pleasantly surprised. 1. Sensor 1/2.3 like on regular point-and-shoot cameras. 2. Charges for 4.5 hours and lasts about an hour of continuous use. |
Overall, the device is worth the money, it’s absolutely great for touristic trips! Zoom is excellent, and the photos are also quite good for a digital camera... zooming is audible while recording video!!! |
