Wi-Fi 802.11ac. Full frame. Smartphone control. 5-axis matrix stabilization. Fast and tenacious autofocus. High rate of fire. OLED viewfinder. Auxiliary screen on the top end. Swivel touch display.

An interchangeable lens mirrorless camera in Nikon's league of full frame models with a full frame image sensor. The camera sensor has a resolution of 26 MP and works in a well-coordinated tandem with two EXPEED 6 image processors at once. What does this give in fact? At a minimum, increasing the rate of burst photography (up to 14 fps), expanding the capacity of the standard memory buffer (designed for 124 RAW files) and faster camera responsiveness in general.

Nikon Z6 II also boasts a 5-axis matrix stabilization system, an advanced 273-point autofocus and video recording in 4K resolution at 60 fps. The footage is now recorded on a duo of memory cards: one slot in the camera design accepts CFexpress / XQD cards, the second — SD UHS-II flash drives. A high-resolution viewfinder (3.69 million pixels), a 3.2-inch touch screen, an information display on the upper end of the body for displaying key shooting parameters have found a home on board the model. For the "carcass" of the camera, weather protection is claimed. In the “Body” configuration, the camera is supplied without an interchangeable lens.

NIKON Z 6II Mirrorless Camera - Body Only, Black

Dual upgradesThe Nikon Z 6II Mirrorless Camera is powered by not one, but two EXPEED 6 processing engines. They work together... morefor faster image processing, greater buffer capacity, and more speed. Take advantage of this power with high-speed shooting of up to 14 fps at full resolution.Whether you want to back-up or maximise your storage, dual card slots give you more options. You can use both slots to separate video and still files or RAW and JPEG or simply back-up everything you shoot.Rethink full-frameGo big or go home. And we're not talking about the form factor of the Nikon Z 6II Mirrorless Camera, which is actually incredibly compact. Meet Nikon's widest full-frame lens mount - the Z mount. Because the lens sits closer to the sensor, you've got more light to play with. With an FTZ Mount Adapter (sold separately) you can still use all your existing F-mount NIKKOR lenses with no loss of sharpness.Steady & sharpTalking of sharp, image stabilisation is built into the camera. Whichever lens you use, it'll always counter handheld camera shake. It works for action shots and video too.Don't be afraid to bump up the ISO to get the shots you want - the image processor can handle it. You get images that are full of dynamic range (no washed out highlights or extreme shadows) - meaning less time spent in the editing suite.Focus freelyAutofocus is not only fast, but you'll be able to select exactly where you want your focus to be and track with pinpoint accuracy. With wide frame coverage, you'll see all the detail right to the edges. Those foodie photos never looked so good.

Video reviews

The second generation of the Nikon Z6 full-frame mirrorless camera has received a number of important improvements aimed at overclocking many key features. Which ones? Let's figure it out.

Growth of indicators

The model retained a 26 MP full-frame image sensor and a 5-axis matrix image stabilization system. In this regard, it has no differences from the previous version. But the number of EXPEED 6 processors on board the Nikon Z6 II has grown to two. Their well-coordinated tandem provided an increase in the speed of burst photography up to 14 fps, an increase in the memory buffer (it can hold up to 124 RAW images), plus the camera learned to record 4K video at a frame rate of 60 fps. A video sequence with a high frame rate is written with a crop factor of 1.5x.

Sensitive autofocus

The camera's 273-point autofocus system has become more sensitive, it also aims at the target by the eyes in real time and recognizes animals in the frame. When it comes to ISO, the Nikon Z6 II delivers usable results at ISO values up to 12800. It is suggested to look at the camera through the high-resolution OLED viewfinder window (3.69 million pixels) or by looking at the picture on the 3.2-inch touch screen. Shooting parameters settings are duplicated on the information screen, which is located on the upper end of the model body.

Twin slot

To save the footage, the camera body has two slots for memory cards. One is sharpened for CFexpress and XQD format drives, the second for more familiar UHS-II type SD flash drives. The “carcass” of the mirrorless itself boasts weather protection. The camera will serve as an excellent choice for most types of filming — from reportage photography to high-definition video recording.
